The bushes / hedge at the entrance of our strata property had been needing a trim for some time. I asked other strata members to help and most, including a renter came out. It was done within 20 minutes and news, including the birth of a new girl, was exchanged and introductions made. It all looks so much better. Loved the spirit! Similar to Tom Sawyer and the white washing of the fence. We made it look like so much fun!
Big lessons about keeping our filters clear.
When our dishes ( and other parts of our days) are not coming out squeaky clean, cleaning out our filter is the key. I had not done this in about 3 years and even when we rinsed our plates.
Finding a wonderful detailed YouTube instruction clip was a key to the operation. Our dishes come out squeaky clean now. Here’s the link Mind you, not paying attention for a few seconds, and missing a screw removal, took me an extra hour of fiddling.
What are we keeping in our mental filter?
Realizing their gift and moving forward – and being recognized as the real thing!
A ‘thank you’ to the drivers of Orange County, California. This was our first time renting a car and driving in the area. I was so impressed with the patience and considerations ( even at highway speeds) that we experienced in finding our way, and changing lanes. Even when we paused slightly in a moment of indecision, or making a a lane change, other California drivers were gracious. It made such a difference, and lessened the stress.
I was sitting in the Student Union Building on campus and a fellow walked by a couple of time looking a bit lost. I talked with him.. He sat down and said he was waiting to meet with his daughter. We had a wonderful, far-reaching conversation.
My wife tutors an international student attending a private school in Victoria. He reported that he learned more in 70 minutes with her than he had in a month in the classroom.
