What’s Gone Well Today? ®
Here’s an easy way to recognize others… and in turn change how we look at our day, and our life.
When has someone made your day with the service they’ve given, or something they’ve said or done for you? Sharing these moments may inspire others. They lift the spirit!
On another note asking someone What’s Gone Well Today? ®, becomes life-changing. Conversations have a fresh, inspiring perspective.
In the larger picture our tools help individuals and organizations become more empathetic. We would love to hear from you! Please share an experience that’s gone well in your day.

A neighbour’s 5.5 yr old has a name that means ‘always ready, powerful one, here to help others,’ Yesterday his father removed the training wheels off his bike and he’s be joyously riding his bike around the quiet cul-de-sac. He didn’t have a helmet so I advertised and someone dropped off two , one for his sister as well.
Good connections… no travel time
Our son came to town for Mother’s Day…The trip takes him about 10 hrs round trip. For Father’s Day I suggested we go for a walk… each in our own towns.. and talk on the phone. We connected about 9:30 pm and ‘walked and talked for an hour.’
Father’s Day Kudos.

Waiting for my daughter in the village I saw this father actively listening and attending to his children as they were sorting out who got to put their bike in which ‘parking’ spot. I went over to commend him for his being so present and patient in this process. He stayed positive, engaged, in his working this out.. No one lost face. The children shared their feelings and the older bro acknowledged his sister’s riding ‘all by herself’ to the store… The father said to me , ” I’m not perfect. You don’t know how I was doing earlier today.” I said , ” I’m just talking about what you’re doing now. You did this so well!”
Parents get so little acknowledgement of what they are doing well. So often when we’re approached on the street someone is asking for something. It’s a different experience to find ways to acknowledge the positive efforts others are making.
Yesterday when I was returning to my car in a parking lot, there was an elderly woman sitting in her car parked right behind mine so that I couldn’t move it.
It seemed awkward as I was loaded with bags and she was just smiling at me. When I got right to my car door she opened her window and asked if I had lost my sunglasses as she had seen some by my driver’s door on the ground and had put them up on my mirror. They were mine! As I was thanking her she started up and drove off.
I’m looking for an opportunity to pay this back to someone.
When the student ( of engaging with strangers) listens…. there are so many opportunities to learn about life, risks and resilience. Getting stepped on did little to quell Jean Luc’s spirit, his desire to ‘dance.’
But most of all the conversations with my daughter who’s full of gratitude for living so near this wonderful village.
