My day was made very enjoyable today and progressive by a short caring and loving phone call from an old friend.
I also had a lovely visit yesterday with 2 friends, very helpful, good information and a wonderful warm feeling of sharing was experienced.
A woman, a mother of teens, was standing at the bus stop by herself. She said she was going to UVic for a tutoring session. She’s from the Yukon, attending UVic for a degree in some sort of healing plants. She explained she had to write an essay and didn’t know whereto start. She was nervous and stressed. She also had never been to UVic. I guided her to the First People’s house where she was to meet her tutor, gave me my card to allow her follow up if she wanted. She is an introvert and found it so different to be even talking with a stranger.
And a little puppy shall lead them

Went for a walk through Oak Bay down unknown streets and lanes with my daughter and puppy. Had several quality interactions with people and puppies.
It’s surprising who one meets and the stories they carry. I loved what one woman, a former political candidate and community organizer, with a very cute puppy said, “My door at home is always open and the kettle’s always on.”
Now that’s a neighbour!
Inspiring to see such commitment with your Spiritual discovery – certainly not a dabbler!
Getting past the fog
Talked to a spiritual teacher/ friend in the States with a few questions about concepts we need to be clear about. It sparked a remarkable sharing of fresh ideas. I was able later to go online and find further articles she had written to add more background to much of what she had talked about. It’s a win-win sharing that is always succinct and promotive of much reflection.
