I have often thought of a hero as one who risks their own life to save someone from harm, and that is true . But there are other kinds of heroes as well.. A long time friend quite a bit more my senior had quite a long list of careers which she had enjoyed on her journey, her most recent was photography and giving elocution lessons.This lady was in her mid nineties and gave slide shows to elderly people in care homes.She was a wonderful person to be around; she was totally ignorant of aging and was always ready to participate in and try something new and ready to sacrifice her own comfort to help someone in need.She is someone I admire and remember with great respect.
