It appeared a clerical error, not reading the whole of an email, had resulted in our no longer qualifying for $1600 in discounts. We refused to accept ‘losing’ and within a couple of weeks it was rectified beautifully. Our representative came into the office briefly, saw the offer was again in place, and moved on it. She wrote, ‘I was supposed to be here.’ Seamless good!
An amazing moment: watching one of the kids in my daughters class that has some mental disabilities (I am not sure the extent) read the work that he completed on Friday as his talent. The student body and parents clapped, hooted and yelled just the same as if he had sang a song or danced. And… when he was finished he literally skipped across the gym to kiss his Dad. Made my heart melt.
Our right turn signal burnt out. I was downtown and phoned my fav garage ( Budget Brake and Muffler) and after they said could look when I arrived in 20 minutes.. When I drove up, one of the receptionists popped out or the office before I opened the door and said, ” I’ll have someone out to fix that.” Talk about ‘old school’ .. of course it was free because it was a recent repair.
Today I played ping-pong with a friend. It had been over a year since playing last, and I certainly didn’t expect to play ping-pong when I got up this morning. It was very fun
Judy and I rode our bicycles out to the country stopping for lunch at a pizza place and enjoying a delicious Greek style whole wheat thick crust pizza with oodles of feta and olives. We then rode further to the Englishman River Park where we walked along the river in shade and sun in this beautiful late spring weather for a couple of hours. We then mounted our two wheeled steeds enjoying a leisurely pedal home via a different route. Register it as about 6 hours of ultimate fun.
What I have been loving to do this week is housework and gardening for my daughter who is five months pregnant. Her life as a day care mom is incredibly and beautifully busy. The children are very fortunate to be under her expert guidance. Her husband is working long hours lately, so even after her long day of work, 7:30 am to 5 pm, she has to maintain her good humour and patience. I love her so I love helping her.
