Local service club member’s passion for refurbishing bikes has many benefactors. Interesting that this clip has really caught people’s attention and it is one our highest view in the last week. Great when something really catches on!
I did find him a temporary spot and from there he looked around and found something that suited him perfectly.
My lesson was to see that it’s not my responsibility to solve every problem personally, but to know that a solution exists — outside of my control, and then celebrate the success.
One person who responded by email was too late to get one of the items. When I thanked him for his good temper ( I wrote, “Politeness and grace make such a difference “) He replied, “We are in full agreement. I do my best to resurrect what might be a dying art ;-).” Sensing a lovely spirit, I asked if we could talk on the phone, as he lives out of of town. He then said that he had met me years ago.. and was a friend of an old friend of mine. It was a wonderful phone chat. In a way reminding me of the wonderful connections and stories my friend would share with me.
Today after two unsuccessful attempts at the road test in which bizarre incidents occured, the test was passed. He later said, ” A key to passing is realizing that you don’t need to hurry. They can’t fail you for what you don’t do. If you get caught behind a broken down bus, etc. just stay there. When urged by other drivers to do something precipitously, don’t. Be patient. Take your time.

A fellow needed to compile some documents for an application, learned that the software he had already ( Open Office) allowed him to make PDF documents. He now learned how he could do this on his own.
