I was talking to this girl named Netanya, and I asked her what is a new question she heard today. I know the instant I asked her that, it throw her off. It is a difficult question to deal without of the blue. After some back and forth about what type of question she dealt with Netanya told me a story of her roommate came into her room, and asked her, in her tired state, a weird question. The question was why is the alphabet in the order they are in! This question throws me for a loop because the alphabet is always been a constant thing. It has been a question in my mind but I never really cared about the answer. We then went on a tangent about why the keyboard in the way they are. the story of the keyboard had to do with something of the typewriter and people typing too fast. however, have you seen a French keyboard? those things are weird and confusing and I never want to deal with one of those in my life. there are some facts that we just take for granted without really knowing what the reason for them are for. we just take those facts in and solid because we are so used to them.
A reader wrote, ” It has become my breakfast reading.. I’m impressed with the info and all the work to produce it.”

You unlock some deep conversations in your travels, your commutes.
I meet this girl on the bus, her name was Tori. My question for her was what new happened in her life. Tori said that her car was recently broken into. They weren’t able to steal it but they were close. I asked her how she felt about the situation, where she responded, she lost trust in the area. She happened to live in Fernwood which surprised me, I lived in fern wood and I wouldn’t expect that to happen. However, Victoria is a weird place so nothing surprises me. We bonded about the joys and woes of living in fern wood. Luckily none of her things were stolen and she had to fight with insurance to cover the damage. Something I learned is some cars don’t have alarms and the culture of cars in Victoria. There are a lot of old cars within Victoria which is cool if you are ever around uptown on the first Sunday of the month a lot of people with nice old cars have a meet up and show off their car. FYI it is cool to see. Tori ended our conversation talking about the idea neighborhood, and if she thinks that Victoria has a sense of community. I think Victoria does have a sense of community but sometimes I think it is lacking. I feel the most sense of community in Victoria is at school and work.
This girl named Ellen came up to me in the library and asked me how I felt about my new laptop. I told her my honest opinion but wanted to continue the conversation further.
So I asked her how technology affects her in her life. she said that she uses technology for very simple reasons, like looking up resources on the internet and extracting it. additionally keeping in the loop for events. She said she tries not to spend too much time using technology like the internet and would prefer face to face contact but that is hard sometimes. However its good for school, work, friends and social situations. we had a back and forth between being in the loop with technology and just using technology as a necessarily. Ellen said that she likes to use the internet to organize her life. she says she has a planner which helps. I said that I don’t have a planner because life has to be spontaneous to some degree.
We somehow changed topics into something about memories and capturing memories which are all built up on past experiences. Ellen. was a cool girl I hope that I run into her again in the future.
