What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

I had a terrific week! We got to continue our Emily Carr art projects with chalk pastels. On Wednesday we got to remember the people who fought in a war on Remembrance Day. We had one minute of silence and before that we got to sing a song called “Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream”. The song was about this person who had a dream that the world had all agreed to put an end to war. On that same day we got to teach grades 1, 2 how to play Kick The Can. Our class has a tradition of playing the game on every Friday just before we are dismissed after school. I always try to kick the can before I get caught by the person who is it.
Our teacher Ms. Newton is a Major Canucks fan so we got to watch the hockey game when the Vancouver Canucks played against the Ottawa Senators, it was our homework! She was really happy because we won six to two. As well on Wednesday I went to the sandbox and recreated flounders field with the poppy’s that go over your heart. I dug to the very bottom of the sandbox to separate the other sand to the island. We also got to have a quiz on Canada’s provinces and territories on a list. I got them all right except if spelling counted that would be five wrong on the test.
I Had A Fantastic Week!
This week was magnificent! On Tuesday we did some art. We used chalk pastels to draw a portrait of Emily Carr’s work.We drew a picture of a tree and we had to define the line so the picture can jump out at us.It really makes a difference if you really try to blend the colours together. It really works.
On Remembrance Day i had to read a poem because I am on student council. We all had to lower our heads and observe 1 min of silence. We got to teach the grade 1s and 2s how to play kick the can. 5 seconds later someone was already caught and another and another. It was non stop.I got caught even before I got to turn around! But it was still a lot of fun!
it was a great week!!!!
I love watching the kids settle into the rhythm of life in their own town, and I can see it’s already starting to happen.
We’re all looking forward to tomorrow’s day in Wildwoodville.

I love the cards.
I’m very grateful that you gave me an opportunity to reflect on my teaching practice and to acknowledge WGW
I truly need to provide opportunities for kids to enjoy learning and to feel good about themselves in the process, that is my passion
The kids also loved the opportunity to connect with their favourite activities, thank you for giving them the experience of sharing them in video format
