What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
This week we did characters we wrote a letter to Santa Claus. Yesterday was an assembly we played guitars and we did three Christmas songs. I introduced our first song which was Jingle Bells, and then we sang Christmas Times A Coming and Old Toy Trains.
This week was a great week! On Thursday our school had a Christmas assembly. We sang Jingle Bells, Christmas Time’s A Coming and Old Toy Trains. In characters we (our characters) wrote a letter to Santa Claus. My character asked for a new sled, 3 Xbox 360 video games and for the world to have no guns or violence. This week we also switched desks! I got seated in a group with my friends Naomi, Jaclyn and Ruby. in computer class we learned about this cool website called code.org. They updated code.org and they added a new theme too! The new theme is Minecraft. We even went to the Burnaby Village Museum! My favourite part was when we went to the blacksmith!
Today is when the Giants hockey game starts it starts at 6:30 pm! I’m not going though. In one week on a Friday it’s going to be pyjama day and pancake breakfast! I’m so excited I’m not sure what pjs I should wear though. Today we switched desks the people in my new table are Shreya, Amy and Tayler. Last time it was Taniya, Anthony and Shreya.
This week we went to the Burnaby Village. I had a wonderful time on the carousel it is my favourite thing there. Today is pizza day and Teoni and I are doing the dishes.I hope you love school as much as I do!!!!!!!!!
On Monday we went to Burnaby Village Museum. First our group went a blacksmith’s office, we learned how to make a hook, I think the most important thing is when it’s hot, you can bend it very easily. Then we went to a school, the teacher in the school is very strict, he needs to check your fingernails every morning, if he said you need to cut your fingernails and you didn’t, the next morning he will let you stand and face the wall. The thing that I enjoy the most is the carousel. I really liked it.
This week is a great week. We had a field trip to Burnaby Village, it was very fun! This week we also did guitar, we practiced the three christmas songs, we practiced how to go on stage and how to get our guitars. This week we did art too, we made a reindeer and put on its ears, eyes, nose and a smiling mouth. It was fun! We also did computer and library. This week we did characters, we wrote a letter to Santa, it was really fun! This week is a great week!!!!!!
