What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
It has been a fantastic week!!!
Yesterday we had characters and we wrote about our character’s car. I had a conferences and my mom painted and I taught my mom how to use the iPad a little better.
This week has been a super fun week because when it was Wednesday my mom , Aubrey and I came to class to a student led conferences. When I was showing my mom and Aubrey we first went to the spot where we could do painting. When my mom was painting my little sister started saying she wanted to paint so my mom let my sister do some painting. After that we went to Mrs.Campbell’s room were there was two guitars. So I showed my mom how to play the guitar. While I was teaching my mom my sister said she wanted to play so my mom let her strum the guitar. Yesterday my class made a rough draft for our characters car when my class came back from recess Ms.Newton was already there looking over our rough drafts. After we got our rough draft back we got to start writing everything down whenever there was two or three people done Ms.Newton would give us a partner to share what we wrote. After we finished sharing we got to go in our art journals.
This has been an outstanding week! Today is PIZZA DAY but I did not order any pizza:(. Yesterday was our student led conference my mom liked the painting the best. Then we did the mindful smelling first she smelled the chocolate, vinegar, vanilla and the pencil shavings. We also did the mindful seeing Mrs. Newton put red food colouring in a fish bowl then Mrs. Newton put yellow. Priya and I are going to wash the dishes:).
This week has been outstanding. Today is pizza day! Next Friday is Valentines Day. I think we are making Valentines bags to put our Valentines cards in. Yesterday was my student led conference. We showed our parents painting and mindful smelling too and I also showed all of my art journals too. On Tuesday we were learning about the Olympics. I really hope we can play kick the can today and we can probably go for a run in gym too.Yay. Today Jennifer and I are going to wash the dishes today for pizza day. Yesterday Ms.Newton had a fish bowl and we got to put food colouring to make new colours like orange and green and purple.

This has been an awesome week. On Tuesday we had gym and we played hockey and war ball I never even got out once. On Wednesday we had math and I only got three question wrong. On Thursday I had my parent teacher conference and it was student led and I got to teach my mom the guitar and I taught her D, A7 and G her favourite chord was A7. In the conference we also did some mindful smelling and the four things we got to smell was vinegar, coco powder, vanilla and pencil shavings.
It has been a great week. On Wednesday we had a student led conference, mine was on Wednesday. The first thing I showed my mom was my portfolio and all my art. Next I showed her my Characters book and I read her a paragraph and let her see my Character. I also showed her how to play guitar. She loved mixed colours and painting the best.
