What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

It has been an fabulous week. We had an new book for mice. We get to make our own title page called All About Mice. Some of the facts are like the word mouse means “thief”and they
are mammals which means their babies are born alive.
On characters we did collages and paragraphs about what we are going to be, do, be grateful for, to have and help others. We learned new songs and we did sgraffitos. We used oil pastels to colour. It has been a fun and fabulous week.

So far, I have had a great winter vacation! I have gone to the Sunshine Coast, Powell River (not sure if they are the same but oh well), Comox, and Nanaimo! All of those cities have friends from when my dad was in school! I woke up at 6 am franticly waiting to go to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal to take the 8:20 sailing to the sunshine coast. We barely even made it! When my sister, my dad, and I got on the ferry, my sister and dad went to the cafeteria while I was running around the ferry looking for the sun deck entrance. It took me 15 minutes to find it!!! When I got up there, I realized that it was freezing so I had a mini freak out session because I was looking around just to get freezing cold. We had to drive from the Langdale terminal to the Earls Cove (Sechelt). It took an hour and a half! Then we took the kind of new ferry called Island Sky and it was small but awesome! Then my dad’s friend has a huge property in Powell River and she has a floating cabin on the Louis Lake. I took some pictures on the cabin and they are spectacular! I will put one up. Then we took the ferry from downtown Powell River to Comox. Then we visited a friend that my dad knew from when he was my age. We took the 8:15 sailing from Duke Point (Nanaimo) to Tsawwassen. The boat was called “Coastal Inspiration” and the sun deck was really neat! Also, because it was late, there wasn’t that many people onboard and so it felt like the sailing only had my family onboard. It was lots of fun. That is my winter vacation so far!

WOW Leon, so great to hear that you have been enjoying your holiday! It’s so great to get away, especially when you get to see water and take such spectacular pictures! Powell River is a beautiful place and it’s a beautiful journey getting there!!

I had a fabulous holiday as well. Stry came home and that was a highlight for sure! I even spent some time relaxing at home and I really, really enjoyed it!
The best part is that I am looking forward to going back to school to see all the kids at Kingswood. What a treat that Avery came back to visit us, all the way from Montreal!!
