What’s Gone Well Today ® at School
What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.

Ms.Newton!!!!!!! I miss you guys so much! I really want to come back to kings wood!(I might visit around christmas when you’re still in school) I wanted to know how you guys are doing and what’s going on in your lives lately. I’m really sorry I haven’t been posting, I have been looking for the website for a while now then I gave up. I emailed grace and she gave me the website name and stuff.
Ms.Newton, you have no idea how much I miss having you as a teacher. Here in montreal next year (gr.6) will be my last year of elementary (we graduate early). By the way, Remember the clay bowls we made and painted? I have it sitting in my room so I can see it everyday! I also have the class photo on my wall, heheh. I miss kingswood. I told my friends about Kingswood and they even wish they could go to school there! My school even has two floors and I still don’t like it (I get lost a lot).
Anyways wanted to say Hi!
-Avery Lamont
Hi Avery!!!!
What a treat to hear from you, wow!!
I am truly grateful that you took the time to connect with us here at Kingswood! Yes, I remember the clay bowls, we are glazing some tomorrow, think they will be blue?! What colour were the ones that we made?
I still have your art portfolio with your sunshine, your rainbow AND your sgraffito elephant!! If you come to visit, you can take what you like!!! I also have the image you painted being active! Very special!
Thanks so much for saying hi from Montreal! I will pass the message on to everyone in Grade 6 and maybe they can reply too!!
So keep in touch, please come and visit if you are here before Christmas!!

Well, haven’t seen this for a while! I just decided to do this again, after Ms. Newton said to us at the end of the school year two years ago, we continue posting our thought about what has gone well in the day! I’m Leon for those who haven’t guessed yet and now I’m in grade 6!! I am in Ms. Sanderson’s class and so far, I’m enjoying it! Looking back into the past, I went to We Day Vancouver on Thursday October 18 and there are no such words to describe how inspiring the motivational speakers were. It was such an experience! I had to get up at 6 o’clock in the morning and be at the river rock casino at 7:45 in the morning!!! We took the Canada Line from bridgeport station to the yaletown roundhouse station. We had about a 10-15 minute walk to the mind blowing Rogers arena (where the Canucks play right Ms. Newton?) in its spot directly beside the new and amazing BC place! We walked in the door and I was outstanded! I saw so many youth wanting to make a difference, there was 20, 000 youth there! Eventually, while pushing my way through the anxious crowd, we got to our seats. Before the conference started, Jessee Giddings was making some voice overs for the broadcast. It was kind of boring, but I kept on saying to myself, calm down and wait for the excitement! So then there were SOOO many speakers with absolutely indescribably inspirational speakers! There was Spencer West, a man with no legs and he just walks on his hands! His message was that anybody can redefine possible. Because he did something out of the ordinary. He climbed mount Kilimanjaro! On his HANDS!!! There was also Demi Lovoto, Craig and Mark Keilburger, Desmond Tutu, Molly Burke, and so many more! I cant describe how impacted I was when I left we day. So now I am a part of the We club or We committee or something like that. So Kingswood, be prepared for some exciting things from the we club, comitee or whatever it is. Well, it’s 10:20 PM on a school night so I should be getting to bed. It was nice to post something on this blog again!
-Leon 🙂
Great experience, Leon. What an honour to be part of that club.Hope you share more of your WGWT experiences. You have
helped so many people on WGWT.
WOW Leon! I am so grateful that you took the time to share your inspirational thoughts about your amazing experience at We Day! It makes us all stop and think about what we are doing when we take the time to listen to what others have learned in their lives. Sometimes it takes a challenging experience in our life to change our perspective and it’s so wonderful to hear that people are sharing what they have learned with students like you!!
Can’t wait to hear more about We Club!!
