What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
This week is good so far!!! People were throwing shoes at the clock! The year has just started. It’s Terry Fox run today! It was fun this week when my class played kick the can! I’m having so much fun this year!

The year has just started. It’s Terry Fox run today! It was fun this year when my class played squareball! My class was about to play kick the can but the rain just started. On 28th we had to do spelling test and everybody got 10+-10+ but i got 10+-9+.
Hi, its Sophia. From Kingswood. Im still in ms. Newtons class. And I am happy about that. I cant believe how fast time gose. I remember when I first started last year I was scared. But I didn’t need to be. When I came in this year I was a bit worred. None of my friends were there I thought I would have no friends for the year. Me and Anju aren’t friends enymore. I was really sad but then it started to get brighter and brighter heres how. Its been almost a month sinse I got in this class. And im already haveing a really fun time. Today is pizza day and the terry fox run. Yesterday was my first student council meeting i’m on student council because I got picked from my class. In art were using charcoul This time were studing lines how many diffrent types there are. Wavy,straight,spiky,long all of those. All so we are doing Characters. I was more excited about the thought of it this year then last year. We are already doing drawing portets. In guitar I feel more advanced then last year i’m changing the three cords without looking. YAY 😀
I had a FUN week !!!
I have had a good week. We experimented with different lines. I got 10+ out of 10+ on our spelling test :). I learned all the Canadian teams in the NHL and I learned chords D, A7 and G on the guitar. We learned how to play square ball. We also did characters and had our first library. We started a book called Mice At Centre Ice. This week has been awesome so far :D.
Students overcome by anger showed the desire to let it go. Students asked for help when struggling with a math concept. Others offered to help when they noticed friends challenged with writing and emotional issues. Some students even wrote a song all about being happy just as much as I can!!
Rick Hansen came to our school! He taught us to celebrate the good in our lives, to be grateful for what we have and to find ways to make a difference. Every student in our class was deeply touched by his message, they were inspired!
Can you imagine a class that does not want to stop for lunch?? We were doing math?!! Some of them decided that throwing their shoe at the clock would make time stop?!! We were having too much fun!!
I was truly blessed this year with a wonderful group of students who weren’t afraid to show that they cared for others. They truly made a difference!

My favourite subject of this year was art. Art was my favourite subject this year because I loved the artwork we did. I remember when we did an eagles project this year. I also remember when we cleaned up the courtyard it was so much fun.
The other thing I will always remember is Ms. Newton, she will always be in my heart. I will also remember when Rick Hansen came to our school. Wait I forgot to mention I am going to miss the math in this class.
I had a SPECTACULAR year! ☺
