What’s Gone Well Today at School is a question, in fact a movement designed to shift our thinking, to bring out the best in our own experiences at school, with the friends and new faces in our classes . We’re encouraging students and teachers to share experiences that have gone well. We hope that people will find more highlights in their day, and share what they are enjoying in their learning and playing at school.
I had an ok week! It was not bad but not great. One bad thing that I found out is that there is no school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. One good thing that I found out is that it`s pizza day today.
This week we had gym. We ran 2 laps and played kick the can. It was hard for me to run because I sprained my ankle 🙁 . Though it was still fun.
Yesterday we did characters. We made brochures about beaver watching. No not whale watching, beaver watching.
I think this week we started sgraffito. We started to colour in a picture. It was fun.
Have you heard about the job action? It`s teachers V.S the government. I vote teachers. That`s the reason four why there`s no school next week for almost the whole week. Wait a minute……. I think I will go to school anyways! I want to protest against it!!!!!!! I don`t know if it`s a good idea but I probobly will do it anyways! 🙂 😉
This week has been amazing! On Monday we played kick the can and we didn’t play in the gym because it is being painted and we can’t go in it right now until next week. Also on Tuesday we had computers with Mr. Naso and me and Zeyn were working together and guess what he asked me to borrow my basket ball from the Harlem globe trotters and there is now way of getting it back and now I’m afraid he might lose it because he has been sick ever since I let him borrow my ball that’s why I’m afraid. On Wednesday we had library and I took out the book knights of the lunch table well there’s the signal.

WOW what a F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C week!!!! We got to play kick the can with Mr. Naso. But he thought it would be better if the can was moved so it would be more fair. But all the fast people just waited near the can and as soon as the person finished counting the y would kick the can. Also in the computer lab we got to finish are king cobra work. We had the MOST writing on it but i think everyone got bored. But at the end of are work we put a video and everyone liked it. On Wednesday we did sgraffito.
On Thursday we did characters. We did a brochure for beaver watching. Today is a special day today is… PIZZA DAY!!!!!!!! Also we finished the class book that we were reading it was called: Frindle. the book was about a boy named Nick in fifth grade his teacher Mrs. Granger teaches him how words work so then he tries to create his own word. frindle means pen. And at the end of the book, Nick has a success and the word frindle goes in the dictionary. After we finished frindle we had to do a book report.
This week was S-P-E-C-T-A-C-U-L-A-R!!!!!!!!!! we did a lot of really cool things. : ) this week we started our design for sgraffito. We’re doing a Beaver. At recess and lunch we are going to protest. We are going to try to stop the striking! : ) The bad news is I have to leave early : ( I guess I won’t be protesting for long.
Anyways we did so many fun fun FUN things! : D this week was my Favourite week of every week I’ve had for 8 years! Sophia and I had similar protesting signs….. hmmm maybe we’ll stop fighting! Anyways Jenny started the protesting thing-a-ma-jig so now Sophia and I are going to do it along with the rest of the class! this week was great!! me and the class are going to stop the strike somehow! : / i wrote ” we need to learn! stop strikeing! we <3 school! " on my protesting sign and Sophia wrote " we miss school " on her sign. do You know what Noah wrote? he wrote: " HI! Umm.. hi? Umm.. stop…. ummm… protesting! I also ummm… want my ummm…. candy… and…. ummm.. oh ya don't forget my lollipop umm…. my ummm… report card" : p he is crazy! anyways I got to go! bye! -Emma
Wow it’s been an extremely S-P-E-C-T-A-C-U-L-A-R week!
This week we did characters. In characters we did building a beaver dam. We even got to cut and paste and we made a brochure!
This week we did gym with Mr.Naso. We ran two laps with him outside. Then we played Kick The Can! I even got to be it for once 🙂
This week in art we got to do sgraffito. We only started coloring the beaver with pencil crayons. The paper that we used was just a rough draft.
This week Ms.Newton told our whole class about the job action. The job action is where the teachers don’t get paid because the government isn’t agreeing with the teachers and the government obviously doesn’t understand that the teachers work so hard to support kids. WE ARE MISSING THE EDUCATION WE NEED!

This week I played kick the can and Mr. Naso changed the rules. He moved the can to another spot. I thought it was unfair because it was harder to get it. We also did some exercises, I feel good when I am active. We also did math and I got all of them right.
