Early lessons from a Sunday School teacher made a life time of difference..Even now in later years she finds meaning and purpose in each day
I have asked myself WGWT during the past seven days and been at a loss for words. Of course, the acronym could also be ‘what’s gone wrong today?’ on which I can be verbose on recent events.
Apart from disturbing a wasps nest and being stung all over my head and lower arms, having to swerve to avoid a police car crossing a red light without its siren sounding (and destroying a front tyre as my car mounted the kerb) we now have anarchy on our city streets with consequent looting and arson by hordes of mindless persons.
The same radio one hour later was debating the power (energywise) of the worldwide internet. It is reliably estimated that to power the total internet activity in the world today would require the output of sixty large power stations. Of that output on third is necessary simply to keep the hardware cool!!
I met some remarkable people, and watched others in action with fresh eyes.They in turn have leapt into action in the spirit of WGWT. In busy schedules we have to take advantage of places where we can get together in time-effective fashion.
My conversation with John evolved from a few comments about what makes a great life. He attributed it to ‘paying attention’ to what is around us.. Here he relates how this saved his life on a 2 lane road.
