In the news we hear about the need for folks from primary industries to shift into new careers. A friend left a long career in forestry to teaching at a smaller university.. Lots of lessons to learn..and they sometimes come in ‘light bulb moments’ Less is definitely more in this case.
Teacher as Hero.
Imagine if teaching was thought of as a heroic field, if teachers were seen as heroes. What would that do to the profession, and who it attracted? What would it do to public perception? How would it affect how teachers approached their classes?
