Interesting how using public transit can yield rich WGWT experiences. Admittedly it can be slow… so I look for ways to enrich the experience.
When using WGWT as a lens time loses its relevance. A friend rendezvoused met me at a train station for just over 40 minutes. I thought of suggesting we just talk on the phone and save her the effort.. but it was such a timeless exchange..
Remarkable passenger conversations. All sprouting from WGWT. On the train one WGWT yielded very little.. but the ripple from it touched another woman beside me and that turned into a remarkable sharing. ” I met a person through my professional work , and learned from her how to save my future marriage.’ Turns out she’s a performer.. and will soon be moving to a small town in Ontario. Her next steps may include doing some street theatre using video interviews. We had much to share.
Excellent phone help from transit — showing me new ways of getting around.
All added to the day
The power and place of good conversation.. once again.
Enjoyed seeing/ hearing Bill Clinton’s talk. One of his primary messages was we have to keep making more connections, developing fresh relationships. Another point I got was it’s okay to ask big dollars when doing big things.
Communications and arrangements certainly fall under ‘less is more.’ Simple text messages were used for the ‘ask’ and the response in having someone ask him, and eventually provide the substantial speaker’s fee
Remarkable ventures are launched and fine-tuned based on great relationships.
I just said ‘yes’ and showed up – ready for anything.
What I got was the chance to help people in my community without giving advice.
I also had the fog lifted around an important question for myself. I appreciated it especially as I am now moving forward with more clear, purposeful intention.
Many thanks; I’m glad to have this opportunity available in Victoria, a city where things get done.
