Bringing order to chaos
I wanted a way to bring order to my draw of batteries.. rechargeable and alkaline. I saw a “Battery Box” kit at Canadian Tire for about $40. I looked through our collection of boxes in our garage and found this unique one that we’ve had for years. It works great.
This box has been a great help after just a week or two.
In this process I conferred with a friend about battery charge levels of rechargeable batters. I learned that 1.2 V is their max charge.
Harkening back to my Electricity 8 class in school
This candid sharing was so refreshing and encouraging for the role our continued training opportunities we will offer in the new year, every Tuesday afternoon.
A letter carrier in our neighbourhood was walking in shorts in very chilly weather. I asked when they will shift into long-pants.
“Next week’s snow and ice will prompt that.”
A few minutes later I commented,” Your good spirit will do much for your physical health.”
“That’s a great thing about this job.. the chance to be active is rare in one’s work.”
She said what had never been said to me before
“I’ll save your place in the line if you want to return.”
I went and saw a line up there as well. I returned, and asked her what was a moment she enjoyed in her professional life. It didn’t take her long to come up with a unique one.I asked her another question, and after that she said, “You would have had a very interesting life with the great questions that you ask.”
I gave her one of my You Made My Day’s cards and leave with a warm glow. I commented that if I had changed lines we would never have had this rich conversation
