The book Mastering Your Life is changing my attitude towards life. It is absolutely the best thing I have read so far.
A friend asked how the Monitor covers the news. She liked how I described it. I sent her a copy of the Monitor Daily and how she’s going to try a month’s subscription.
Last week I was shopping for a used car and wanted to save as much money as possible. I therefore looked to private sales. The problem was that I don’t know anything about cars. Luckily, it turned out that a friend of mine is insanely knowledgeable about cars, a closet guru so to speak. One night he came with me to see three cars that I otherwise would have been interested in and would have paid a mechanic to inspect. He found tons of problems with each of them that the owner hadn’t revealed, and that most shoppers likely wouldn’t have noticed. The following day we finally found one that he approved of, and I ended up getting a great deal on an old used car is excellent mechanical condition.
Not only did I feel really grateful to be able to save so much time and money due to his expertise, but it was also a pleasure to see him really “in the zone”. I had never seen him act with such passion and confidence before. It was really impressive. It made me happy to see him in such a state.
