On the very busy ferry Loni and I were sitting playing cards. After a game we decided to change seats …. and ended up in the cafeteria. While Loni went to the cafeteria, I went to the car to get something. When I got back Loni told me that another passenger had found my back pack which I had left while playing cards, and walked around until she found Loni to give her to her. I went back and thanked her… and gave her a You Made My Day card. So thoughtful of her!
The cards are so fun to give out.
We got to Tswassen Ferry terminal at 3:40pm .. in time to catch the 4:00 sailing but learned due to storm conditions all sailing has been cancelled at least till 9 pm. I learned later that there had been power outages quite close to this area due to the storm.
There were no promises even that would ‘fly’. I spent some time looking at the situation spiritually. Coming to a sense of peace that all was under God’s omnipotent control
While we waited the 4.5 hours, we had a fireplace on in the the car, played chess and some different games with Teddy ( Telsa). We napped a bit. Overall it was lovely and cozy. At 8:20 an announcement came that we were loading in a few minutes.
Driving home in the rain using auto pilot was so much more relaxing.
Dad with his daughter & bf in Australia. He hadn’t seen this daughter for 2 yrs..This was taken before the fires got bad… This is in Norooma, south coast in December. Now that area is cut off due to bush fires…We’re grateful we’re safe in Wollongong for now
Now i am in Korea without my family.
It was really hard to leave my family at the airport
When my older boy tried to hold back his tears, I couldn’t suppress the tears flowing from my eyes.
Also I can feel he has grown so much more than I thought, because he was realizing the poignancy of parting and separation.
I hope to meet my family as soon as possible
And God bless my family and Canada also.
