I was walking across the Johnson Street Bridge on the pedestrian only side
when a cyclist came riding along making me feel quite vulnerable.
I called out: “Bad karma, bro.” He stopped got off his bike saying: “sorry bro” and pushed his bike the rest of the way.
A couple of days ago, a colleague introduced me to her daughter. I’d never met someone with her name. Today I asked my friend how they came up with the name. It was a wonderful conversation which at some point may surface in an video clip. So much thought put into her parenting.
I learned quite a bit about her. It all enriches the connection.
After owning a Tesla for a couple of years, I realize that attending the monthly coffee meetings is a great way of meeting interesting people. This week I met a pioneer.. who actively engages in ‘calculated risk taking’ in the projects he’s taken on. We had a great chat, much of it recorded. He said,’ Some people we are meant to meet.’
At our Campus Conversation tonight, Jody Paterson, our guest speaker is a journalist and communications strategist. Such a good fit as a number of the students in the audience were enrolled in writing courses, and many in the room really care about helping with social issues.
