Shared idea of collecting Classroom Moments with a principal of an independent school and the next day she approved the idea. We will record these moments with the staff of Elizabeth Buckley school Sept 19th.
Stopped where Dana was painting her first pole in Fernwood. Loved her sense of life, growth and progress. She is packing a lot into her creative days.
Visiting a friend at Wayside House in Oak Bay, I saw a tree trimming service was at work. I was introduced to Maurice, the head of the crew who eagerly embraced my request to have him dump a truck load of wood chips at our daughter’s home on Foul Bay Rd. He maneuvered his truck some distance down the driveway when he dumped. Similar requests from Oak Bay Parks had not worked out because of the size of their truck, and the traffic and power lines overhead. The smell of the wood chips gives her property a wonderful aroma.
Our daughter messaged,’It’s SOOOO much I’m delighted about it
Best thing about my day for sure.
I can’t wait to lay big thick paths. Will be so helpful in the soggy weather. And the finer stuff for mulching parts of the garden.’
Took part in a paper plane contest in the UK. The fellow beside me was an engineer so we started talking about improving my design.. that lead to this great conversation about his own draw to engineering.
I met them in Dublin on a bike tour. Along the way I mentioned the idea of sharing a bit of their story. We took a few minutes at a pub stop to record this story. Loved hearing of their friendship and adventure over 43 years..
About 3 months into the season, we found caulifower seedlings had in fact been kale. We mentioned this to this great clerk where we bought the seeds and she refunded us for the seeds. She says she hears many stories but this was the weirdest. She is such an empathy star.
