Community building!
I ran into a couple from our road while on a puppy walk. I offered them all the wood chips they wanted. They were thrilled and when I returned to the road she came out and offered me some intriguing Chinese food items.. that we added to a chop suey that night.
Finding a new home
Almost threw this old pump in the garbage. Instead I posted this picture on Freecycle… Someone wanted it for their garage. He knew how much one was worth.
A community resource
Texted my contact at Oak Bay Parks and he quickly arranged for a pile of wood chips to be delivered to our road the next week. Such friendly blokes who delivered it. Then a neighbour lent me his truck and I brought some to my daughter’s home. So touched that he said I could borrow his truck anytime.
Meeting a really interesting fellow who manages change well
