Just got great loyalty support from Telus. The agent was quick, attentive, supportive and spirited. When I accidentally disconnected the call, she phoned back. She’d like to move up to the training department. She recognized that would give a here a higher platform to influence greater change. I wrote a commendation.
Talking to a server at a local pub who said one of her customers was ‘teary’ saying her service had moved her deeply.
Great customer service is such a blast to experience.
We went berry picking at a farm. Always interesting to find out the backstory behind a business person, in this case the farmer. She had been a nurse, working as a mental health support staff in Vancouver. She was rich in stories.
A friend was open to a short visit / distraction. She has two children under 3, plus had a playmate over. I was so impressed with her total focus on her children, an equanimity midst so many demands, her love of life and with all that going on, her ability to have a very thoughtful conversation.
Drove from east Vancouver to Granville Island on a very busy Saturday afternoon. Parking is sometimes very hard to find. This time we found free street parking about a block from the theatre. People behind us were patient while we waited for the person to load up their GPS and leave the spot. This gave us 20 minutes of breathing time before the wonderful production of Godspell.
On a previous trip it took 45 minutes to find a spot and it cost $15.
Less is more-an uncomplicated life
After 20 living years in an apartment Don made a decision to get rid of a lot of stuff he wasn’t using. He talks about the shift, new priorities of freedom and creating his own way of life.
When I got home I saw a bird in our garage trying to get out of a window that doesn’t open. I thought of capturing it, and releasing, but it flew away from my trap.
I thought about a divine control being in place. I put the handle of a rake up to where the bird was hiding. It stepped on to the handle and allowed me to carry the rake outside.
