Forgot to leave this lamp that I was giving away, on the porch. When I realized my mistake I was able to phone one of our tenants who was home at the time, and he stepped in.. just at the right time. Phew…
Introduced two of my friends, both enthusiasts about gardening. Harald was so generous with his fig trees and his rich experience he’s soaked up about what helps plants and gardens flourish.
I saw a cashier at Thrifties really take his customer service up a few notches. An elderly woman with groceries on top of her walker got in line. He left the till , walked around and graciously unloaded the groceries onto the service counter. He was cheerful, respectful and efficient.
I went through his line today and asked if he had any theatre in his background. It turns out that he is applying to get into UVic’s theatre program. I referred to the service he provided the other day, and said there was a lot of theatre in that. I asked him how theatre affects how he does his job. He hadn’t connected those dots yet.
I gave him my card and said I could help in his next steps… Travelers do that.
I went to the gym and met Bob Martin for the first time. His dramatic life change story is so inspiring.
