What’s Gone Well Today? ®
Here’s an easy way to recognize others… and in turn change how we look at our day, and our life.
When has someone made your day with the service they’ve given, or something they’ve said or done for you? Sharing these moments may inspire others. They lift the spirit!
On another note asking someone What’s Gone Well Today? ®, becomes life-changing. Conversations have a fresh, inspiring perspective.
In the larger picture our tools help individuals and organizations become more empathetic. We would love to hear from you! Please share an experience that’s gone well in your day.

Last week, Jim, a friend of mine, and I drove to the Comox airport to pick up a friend and her cousin from Prague. The woman from the Czech Republic spoke no English. After we arrived back at their place following an hour drive I hugged my friend and extended my hand to her cousin. She grasped it gently in both of her hands and looking me directly in the eyes she said; “Thank you”. I had such a feeling of empathetic communication that just remembering it now once again sends a warm sense of gratitude throughout my being. I am so happy to be a human.
I met a kindred woodworker today and discovered… again… that we are all just a bunch of folks just making our mistakes look awesome. Then I bought a mother of god band saw.
Imagine if all you clients let you know what’s gone well today in their work with you? How good would that feel?
We have been busier then “a cat on a tin roof” what with getting the interior designer through the condo twice and now a third trip through tomorrow should do it. We have signed a contractor on and as soon as the working plans are drawn up and then get the permits past by Oak Bay Municipality they can start the renos. The contractor is very booked and doesn’t think he can get on with it until October. He was highly recommended and being that booked with work says something.I have met quite a few of the owners and they have been very friendly and interesting, after years of living in the area they have some dandy ideas on hiking trails.
What it takes to break world records, or your own boundaries
I graduated from the “Academy of Art” in Belgrade, and has since integrated my love for art and sculpture into the human-powered machines I now create. I became interested in Human-Powered Vehicles (HPV) in the late 1970’s and set out to apply my own unique innovative abilities to this personal endeavor. My intuitive sculptural approach is evidenced in the aerodynamic fairings of the ‘Mephisto’, ‘Torso’, and ‘Orpheus’ – a series of high speed machines which hold all the current world speed records.

I spent an hour or so with my good friend Sheila a few days ago. Here’s a poem she shared with me
I Need to Breathe Deeply
Eternal Friend,
grant me an ease
to breathe deeply of this moment,
this light,
this miracle of now.
Beneath the din and fury
of great movements
and harsh news
and urgent crises,
make me attentive still
to good news,
to small occasions,
and the grace of what is possible
for me to be,
to do,
to give,
to receive,
that I may miss neither my neighbor’s gift
nor my enemy’s need.
