Buskers’ comments on what they enjoy in performing on the streets at Christmas
Discovered a great place to shoot interviews.. in an underground garage of a local mall. It has a fresh, urban feel.
And in that fresh space, I recorded some remarkable views of a web developer sharing what she loves in her workm and the way she helps change communication patterns in the work place.
Yesterday I realized that I bring adventure and discovery to conversation. That’s the transformation ConversationWorks offers!
Always good to ‘take new insights to the street’.. After biking around downtown and Cook Street Village, I decided to bus home. There at the bus stop was a woman in a wonderful purple coat.. We talked about many things.. from anniversaries to career moments and big life decisions.. and a few words about the remarkable bus driver, who was so patient with my putting my bike on the bike rack for the first time. I ended up interviewing him when we got to UVic.. The video tells the story of what he brings to the ‘bus’, in fact each interaction… Turns out he does training as well for Transit.
There on one trip.. was discovery and adventure!
Less than a year after being introduced to Mary Jack where we recorded 31 episodes, her videos continue to be viewed, and she is now being asked to speak in her own and other communities. She is so grateful for the opportunity to share her experiences, and others write to say how important her message of supporting family, staying true to original values is.
