Taking paying it forward to the heights.
Got to church so early I heard this solo being practiced, and then got to hear it during the service.
Another person shared some backstory- how someone had recommended it in Seattle and her suggestion was passed on to the church music commitee..
Walking through an early childhood education conference at UVic I came upon a table with a large sign reading “Hope, Faith and Empathy’ A few comments later saw Monique Gray Smith and I shooting 4 clips about her remarkable work and upcoming book to help first peoples be more resilient in our society.
I learned later she was the keynote for the conference.. To me she was a champion of empathy.. that was the ‘hook’… the beginning of a conversation, the grounds for our connection. To view a playlist of our four clips
