Went back to a store to pick up a product 3 times before the store finally had processed our order. Expressing grace each time was a transforming experience. Took the opportunity to engage with others in the line up and went some distance with everyone to explore the power of What’s Gone Well Today in each case. People shifted from the superficial to heartfelt stories.
One older woman was wearing a Harley Davidson jacket. Her children both have Harley’s and gave her the jacket. She’s never been on one. When I acknowledged that in her parenting, she’d instilled a sense of adventure, she told me of giving her son a mini bike when he was 9.. and both son and daughter contended for it till they were 15. The mom got on it once, but had forgotten to ask how to stop it…
Instead of impatience and contempt for the mis-steps by the store, we experienced joy, patience, insight, flexibility and connection. Each encounter was a gift.
It’s always more important how we respond to an event. That response is what becomes ‘real’ to us.
Went to an house gathering.. ended up being not the day. so no one was there. It was like a gift. I had some peaceful time to reflect myself. Also served as a dry run into new territory.

The power was out for about 10 hours on Sunday due to a big storm. So grateful that our gas fireplace worked beautifully, as did our gas stove . Friends invited us over later in the evening, and our students went to the l library. The power came back at 10:30 pm instead of 9 am the next day.
So many WGWT experiences.
