What’s gone well today is that I made a trip to the big city of Victoria to run a bunch of errands as I have the honour of working with an esteemed colleague and mentor in my craft up Island for the next few days. The errands went very smoothly. All the things on my to do and to get list were handled with ease, which is always a wonderful experience. Also, on my way out of town I stopped off at a customer’s house to make a delivery and he commented that the design of the bed that he bought from me was, “timeless”. I earned two WGWT points today in ease and compliments.

What I am looking forward to for the remainder of the week is working with a mentor and expert woodworker on a luxurious home where craftsmanship is the priority, an opportunity to expand my craft.

A friend of my grandaughter who teaches Spanish at West Point Grey High School in Vancouver, asked me some time ago, to give a talk to their Multicultural Society about W.H.E.A.T. I am not keen on public speaking, so asked Heather Ferris if she could do it, but she will be away in Nepal in October. I had to work about this and know that it is a right idea for young people to be aware of others
by expressing their care and consideration. West Point Grey High school interested in having WHEAT as a charitable organisation they could support.
To-day I was working metaphysically, as well as arranging for a Hard Drive with pictures and information about WHEAT to use for the talk, when the message below arrived from the publishers of my book. It was a wonderful lift to my thinking and quite amazing that they are sending my book to a High School in Arkansas and I am preparing to talk to a High School in Vancouver, on the same subject -
i.e. the support through education for women and children in Southern Africa, who suffered as a result of the apartheid system.
That is ” what’s gone well for me to-day ”
Not a coincidence but proof that there is One Mind.
    Best wishes

    Dear Elaine Bunbury:

PublishAmerica is proud to let you know that we have selected your book, What Hope Have You, to be selected for a special donation we are making. The donation is going to The Black Couch Literary Magazine at Russellville High School in Russellville, Arkansas. Their publication is ranked All-Arkansas, meaning they are one of the most prestigious high school publications in the state. At the annual Arkansas Scholastic Press Association convention last April, they were one of only two schools in the state to receive this honor. Moreover, their staff produces the publication solely on the budget we earn through fundraisers.

When they contacted us for a donation of books for their latest fundraiser, we felt honored and proud to say YES! The exciting news for you is that your will be representing PublishAmerica and helping to promote literacy to the younger generations. Your book will be include as a prize at the festival that they are planning. Thank you for picking us as your publisher and allowing us to use your work in this good cause.

    Best wishes,

I’m interested in transforming my own thinking by acknowledging my abilities and then using what I have learned to create powerful learning experiences for my students.

Green Drinks was particularly wonderful on Tuesday. A rich mix of people all engaged in good conversation. The silent auction also created some opportunities for people to become more aware of what’s going on in their community. Everyone loves the Oswego as a site.

As I am expecting two more great-grandchildren, have been knitting
baby stuff. My granddaughter, Rosalind who lives in Vancouver, said she
would order on-line from a company in the U.S.A., some special buttons,
that are Beatrix Potter characters, for the baby sweaters I have made.
She duly ordered them about a month ago but they have not arrived, as
yet, so I e-mailed the company to inform them. This morning I had a
phone call from Colorado from the owner of the business, and she
said she had sent the parcel a long time ago and that she would send
a repeat of the order to-day. I thanked her and said, if the first parcel
arrived, I would send her a second payment or the amount. She replied that
I must not do that, if that happened, I must keep the order and not send any
money for it, because it would be her gift to me. I think that is a most kind
and thoughtful gesture and wanted to pass it on to you.
