The universe responded with a gift …. a chance to delve deeply into a topic I’m passionate about
I recently visitied my home in Ottawa during which the annual family softball tournament was happening out in the Osgoode / Manotick rural areas. It was essentially a family reunion for me and allowed me to reconnect with my roots, after living out west for many years. It was fantastic.
Work-Life Balance is always something to celebrate
Yesterday Judy and I were at a local nursery surveying their trees and bushes. A woman who was selecting a large broad leafed tree which has its new leaves each year come out red before turning green with age came over to us as her purchase was loaded and generously shared information about the tree she bought and what it was good for and why she had selected it. She then inquired of our needs and wants and suggested that we carefully survey the offerings there.
What more need be said?
I started a national media campaign to pitch to TV, radio and journalist. The radio shows are starting to come in. I will have my most recent one on my web page soon. Learning how to pitch to producers such as Regis and Kelly and The View in New York this year has gone really well for me and worth the cost of tuition.
Last week, Jim, a friend of mine, and I drove to the Comox airport to pick up a friend and her cousin from Prague. The woman from the Czech Republic spoke no English. After we arrived back at their place following an hour drive I hugged my friend and extended my hand to her cousin. She grasped it gently in both of her hands and looking me directly in the eyes she said; “Thank you”. I had such a feeling of empathetic communication that just remembering it now once again sends a warm sense of gratitude throughout my being. I am so happy to be a human.
