]What’s gone well (so far) today: had a marvelous bike ride into town to meet a friend to catch up over coffee. Feeling inspired with fresh air and hearing everything she’s up to. Reflecting on how our people have such an impact on our world.
Having a discussion with some friends where the skills and empathy of bus drivers came up. I recalled this driver’s experience that we recorded at a party, recounting how he dealt effectively, empathetically, and quickly with drug use on his bus.
Went to a B4 Play at the Belfry. Loved the conversations I had. The Belfry Theatre has such an interesting community that it draws.I make it a point to explore what draws them out… Over the years of being the Story Catcher of the Belfry I sometimes cycle back and talk to familiar folks as they share new experiences and insights.
It sure has been nice to have the sunshine! Cold, yes, but the mountains are so beautiful against the blue sky!
So grateful to have time now that I am retired to help my daughter with her twins! They are adorable and they are almost walking! Every time I see them I am struck by how much they progress, even in one day!
They will be 1 in February and the question is…..what should I get them for their first birthday?! It is fun to go to the store to look but there are so many choices!
I have retired from teaching to help my daughter and some friends have invited me to their class to play the guitar and do some art! Tomorrow is guitar and on Thursday it will be art!! I am really looking forward to seeing the kids!
We had a broken plumbing connection at our daughter’s home. As I drove up to it I thought of calling in Erik John, the Bicycle Plumber. He did the job twice, ( he texted me the second day saying he’d like to redo it.. to make it stronger) and charged once. Such integrity. The system is much more secure now.
