Someone had given us their old cuisinart food processor. I tested it out and couldn’t get it to work. I took it to St Aidan’s Friendly Octopus thrift shop and the techs there tried it out and showed us how to make it work. My daughter get a new kitchen tool!
People at Apple Care and HP were very helpful in solving a printer connectivity problem I was having. They took an active interest in getting it working again. Lex, from HP, showed great follow through, phoning me back twice after researching next steps. I felt really supported.

Conferred with staff at Home Hardware a number of times this week while repairing at 1910 house, including bringing in a door whose knob I couldn’t detach. I learned a lot. I found many of the staff very helpful. One fellow said he’d only live in an old house. Love the sense of empathy and insight.
Had dinner with a friend and by 11pm I heard she had some computer questions. Email was not working. I phoned up Shaw her internet provider and quickly got a tech to walk me through.. and solved the problem.
