We’ve known this student for years in a few different contexts. He came for tutoring last night in his first year of high school math and was completely different in attitude and focus. Instead of being scattered, passive and apathetic, he was keen, positive, appreciative, very open and reflective about his work.
Love Connie’s exuberance over the exciting and new elements in her life.
It was dusk. I had to cross 2 streets to get to the bus stop. While I was crossing the first street, I saw the bus approaching. I still needed to cross the other street, but I needed to wait for the light to change — and so did the bus. I looked at the bus driver beside me and shrugged. The next thing that happened was that I heard a big honk — the bus, still beside me at the corner, opened its doors. I hopped on. Thanks very much! The bus driver just said, You looked so defeated. Kindness is normal in bus drivers.
My mic mounts were broken.I scanned my friend list and contacted David who upon seeing a picture of it, suggested using ‘o rings’ which he happened to have a box of. Perfect solution! A Christmas gift!
