Driving on the interstate can be challenge, especially when your daughter, a new driver is driving. A situation arose where our car was squeezed be merging cars and trucks and a vehicle beside us as well. Nowhere to go. It was so amazing, there was room for us all. We were all moving together and somehow fit. So grateful for this over the holidays.
A guy came into work today…complimented me on my spirit and asked where i get it from…I told him “God”, and he told me about this website. It was a great way to start the work day…so thank-you who ever you are!
Decided to attend the Christian Science Church Service today – hadn’t been there in about 20 years. I met a friend whom I hadn’t seen in about 33 years. It was such a wonderful surprise and made my day that much nicer.
This week I have been mingling with many people in malls and shops and often if I made eye contact they would smile and lately it was’nt happening that often so I decided to be faster on the draw with a smile and it worked .Now what kind of lesson did that teach me.?!111
I got a late call to teach Sunday School this morning. I felt unprepared and apprehensive. But two children came – a boy and a girl – and they were so full of youthful enthusiasm that I got caught up in it and forgot myself. And then, as we sang the last hymn together with the others, the boy asked if he could get his baby sister from the infants’ room. The attendant brought the baby girl out and the boy took her in his arms and they stood there at the front of the room, hugging each other with such love and affection that the whole room seemed to be filled with a wonderful glow. It was Sunday School in its simplest, purest, most natural form and I went home rejuvenated!
Today, I ran into over twenty people I knew on campus.
And two of my friends were congratulated on their upcoming marriage, which was a very encouraging experience for them, as most people think they’re crazy for getting married so young.
