Reflections from June 2008′s CWR

  • An interesting question you heard, thought of, or asked.
What are your values in life/ work?
How do we connect sustainable websites without duplicating?
What major actions/ tipping points need to occur to move sustainability from a luxury to a necessity, casual to routine?
When can you have what you want?
Is there a difference between happiness and contentment?
Should I run for city council in Victoria?
How to bring spiritual knowledge/ experience usefully to our daily challenges?
If life was a game what would it mean to win?
How do you balance sacrifice with service?
How can I reach my full potential?
How do you define adulthood outside of the stereotypical markers of job, house, kids, etc?
What is it to be truly unselfish? How can the full message of the scientists about what to do about global warming  get through to the public?
What does it mean to be creative?
How to reconcile eastern ( holistic) and western ( intellectual) world views?
    Why don’t they listen?
    How have your dreams changed?
How can I create a home environment that supports me?
    What are the barriers?
Isn’t it selfish to be truly selfless?

· What is an idea you could use?

Distinguishing between personal interest and work interests.
Danella’s strategic  importance vs engagement quadrant.
Looking between the extremes for solutions.
How do you connect people?
Beyond sustainability? Next step?
Marketing that ‘s generating value to society.
Format for this event.
Being a grownup means having a core.
The logo can say a great deal to bolster the message of the business.
Use “community of interest” that surrounds the marketing of a product to promote other ideas/ product.
That reaching my full potential means reaching out to others.
Rather than promote change; join and push from within.
Interdisciplinary work.
Be brave by speaking my questions without fear.
Don’t forget about the value of past experiences.
Step outside my comfort zone.
Make sustainable  actions  habit ( like flossing.)
Getting involved in green auditing.
The importance of telling others about one’s personal story, insights, as a means of advancing positive  change in society.

· What did you learn about yourself /others?
Fear is holding us back ( individually and collectively.)
I may already be what I want to be.
Learn by doing.
Broadcasting.
What I have done, and am part of may help me figure it all out.
I am gradually defining my path!
People are open. Just ask!
I love talking to people.
Recognition is paramount: People want to answer each others’ questions.
There is a strong desire to play a Big Game that is shared in this group.
That I have a lot to offer.
These are ALL our questions.
That I can be bigger than my fears.
There are lots of caring people who want to help.
Victoria is my connector.
I had a personal ah-ah about a personal point of resistance.
We seem to  be asking the same questions.
We all desire to be living fully expressed; we all desire positive and supportive communication and  communion.
I know more people than I think.
Career is a source of identity for some people and it’s a bit dangerous if the job doesn’t flow , or we aren’t qualified for it.

  • What  benefit have your received, or can imagine from CW R?

Developing a selfless network of allies.
Energy
We are all learning.
Encouraging and assisting others with their projects.
New ideas, valuable people and connections, business opportunity.
Potential easing of the issue discussed.

Connecting with people who can help move my life forward.
Broadening the circle of connection.
Discovering something that I haven’t imagined yet.
Joyful connection.
Support for each other’s ideas , dreams and desires.
