I thought that the main ideas the mayor talked about were building things that families and kids can do, helping homeless people and always making sure that the night can be safe for everyone.

I thought that what the mayor said about fixing the Blue Bridge instead of making a new one is a good idea because that is what I would like to have happen.

I connected to Dean Fortin because he is the mayor of where I’ve been growing up for years and I’ve seen him a lot of times. I think he’s a very important person to the city of Victoria.

I found it interesting hearing Mayor Fortin talke about different kinds of transportation and also about how they can help homeless people.

I liked how Dean Fortin is helping the homeless by opening up places for them to stay, and how he’s thinking about different ways to treat our sewage.

Something that stood out for me was how Dean Fortin didn’t seem to want a new Blue Bridge. He seemed like he wanted to refurbish it, which I would like too.

I thought it was interesting when the Mayor said that one of the rewards of being the Mayor was having a sense of accomplishment.
